Trade show appearances at PLMA and Cosmetic Business were a complete success for Nölken Hygiene Products.
Last week, Nölken Hygiene Products GmbH had not one, but two trade shows on their agenda. At PLMA in Amsterdam and Cosmetic Business in Munich, teams established contacts, identified trends, and impressed attendees with their products over two days at each event.
PLMA: Networking at the most important trade fair
After 2019, the PLMA took place again for the first time on May 31st and June 1st since the start of the Corona pandemic. „For us, the PLMA is the most important trade fair, as representatives from all major retail and industrial companies are present,“ begins Dorothee Wiedemann, Head of Marketing and Project Management at Nölken. „We were therefore very happy that it could take place after two years without major restrictions.“
With a nine-person team from sales, purchasing, marketing, and management representatives, Nölken answered questions from interested parties and trade fair visitors. At the interactive trade fair booth in the Holland Hall, visitors could also test Nölken's products and create their own wet wipe packet with an individual design.
„We were extremely busy during peak hours,“ begins Managing Director Markus Nölken. „We had a lot of visitors at our booth overall, and the atmosphere was very good over the two days.“
NW-Chemie GmbH was also there for the first time. The Nölken partner company presented interesting and high-quality disinfection products. „The pandemic has made these products more interesting for retail as well. Despite the tense situation, many new things are being tried, and the interest in innovation has not waned,“ continued Markus Nölken. The highlight was the alcohol-free disinfectant wipes, which also meet the highest requirements for medical use.
Cosmetic Business: Sustainability and Packaging Trends in Focus
Equally insightful for Nölken was the two-day Cosmetic Business in Munich. Following a successful participation in November 2021, a five-person team was again on-site on June 1st and 2nd, supported on day 2 by Managing Directors Markus Nölken and Thomas Schnitter.
„At Cosmetic Business, in addition to customer contact, our focus is on discovering new trends,“ explains Daniel Kesseler, Head of Product Development. „Our goal was to present and make the Nölken name more well-known.“
His colleague and sustainability manager at Nölken, Christoph Lerbs, adds: „Sustainability and packaging trends, in particular, played a central role for us at this year's Cosmetic Business.“ And there was also something for visitors at the booth. They had the opportunity to mix their own shower gel, which was very popular.
In addition, the trade fair team received many inquiries for special products as well as products from partner NW-Chemie. The exchange, especially after Corona, was therefore not only enormously important but also very successful for Nölken.
Nölken Satisfied with Trade Fair Appearances
„Our daily goal is to create customer enthusiasm. This also applies to our trade show appearances,“ summarizes Managing Director Thomas Schnitter the trade show appearances. „I believe we have once again achieved this at the PLMA in Amsterdam and the Cosmetic Business in Munich.“
